yeah Tarantino did confirm in a recent Maron interview what the movie implied -- that Cliff Booth definitely killed his wife. Delightful. Yeah, there's an excerpt from the novel floating around that describes exactly what happened: namely, that he shot her with the spear-gun, somehow severing her in half, and that he immediately regretted it the second he did it, and he spent seven hours cradling her while she was dying and they came to a reconciliation of sorts.
