I really like this teaser. Also so far I like Pattinson’s voice. I think it’s appropriate without people making fun of it later on like Bale’s Batman voice.

Couple more..
A lot of people are pretty certain that the movie being talked about here is The Batman.

Pattinson's voice sounds fantastic and he's always been great at mixing up different accents over the years. The Batman is easily my #2 most anticipated film of 2022 (right up there with that little low budget independent film that James Cameron's been working on for over 10 years)

Looks tight, but I kinda wish they hadn't shown so much of it.

Farrell looks like he's doing Wilkinson's Falcone in Batman Begins dialed up to 11 and I love it.

I'm liking how dark this is for a mainstream superhero film even for Batman. I just hope it isn't too dreary.

Deadline says the budget for this is $100m. I know that it is early days Batman but still

Also me: "I'll be there first in line on the fourth of March!!"

This looks incredible . The trailer did show quite a bit but I'm also really liking how they're not revealing too much of the Riddler and keeping him a mystery (the question mark in his coffee cup was a clever touch) This looks like such an interesting & refreshing new take on Batman/Bruce Wayne and the supporting cast all look legit as well. I hope it delivers!

This looks... average. I didn't see anything special about the cinematography, and the character beats they show are standard Batman fare. It'll probably be alright. Maybe I'm just being cautious after that Spiderverse trailer hyped me up, only to get burned by the overstuffed disaster the film wound up being.

After rewatching the trailer, I noticed some moments that look inspired by scenes in TDK trilogy - like the shot where Batman’s fighting in the nightclub next to a railing while there’s flashing lights (Batman trying to get to Maroni in the club in TDK), the shot of him being illuminated by machine gun fire in the tunnel (like when Selina brings Batman to Bane in TDKR), and the interrogation scene at the police station of course…

Yeah....This looks very much like Nolan territory. Not that it's necessarily a bad thing, but Batman is a mythology ripe with so many different stories and iterations, it's a shame that they seem scared to do anything new with him. Do we need to keep seeing his origin and and again? It's the most famous origin story in pop culture at this point.
Could be decent, but WB really run the risk of Batman fatigue if they don't start tapping into other aspects of the character's mythos to play around with. I understand he is by far their most valuable Superhero IP, but if people start to reach the point where they don't think there is anything special or new about a Batman film, you can easily kill the Golden Goose.

I understand he is by far their most valuable Superhero IP, but if people start to reach the point where they don't think there is anything special or new about a Batman film, you can easily kill the Golden Goose. This isn’t an origin story though.. I know it isn't. But it will clearly have flashbacks to his origin (as seems to be some weird requirement for Batman films, and Reeves himself said it'll focus on a Batman still tortured by the death of his parents. Yawn!) Been there, done that, many times over. It also looks like a Batman: Year One type of story, again focusing on his early career. Why don't they just jump straight in to a mid career Batman, where he isn't still just brooding over his dead parents as his defining character trait, already has his whole crew (Robin, Nightwing, Huntress, Oracle etc) and doesn’t feel like it's in some way retreading old territory. It feels ridiculous that they have been making Batman movies for over 30 years, yet there are so many major characters in his mythos yet to turn up in the films (Jason Todd, Tim Drake etc) because they insist on dealing in such a narrow strata of his mythos and rehashing the same characters (Joker, Penguin, Catwoman etc).
Actually, what I'd find interesting is some sort of adaptation of the Death In The Family storyline, where Batman's 2nd Robin Jason Todd is murdered, and a new kid (Tim Drake) uncovers Batman 's real identity and helps him over the loss and becomes his 3rd Robin. Or a film where he finds out he has a bastard child Damien Wayne and trains him to be his new Robin. Just as examples. So many other stories to tell in this mythos.
