Is it just me or has Rami been picking up steam lately with critic wins?

Is it just me or has Rami been picking up steam lately with critic wins? I really am becoming convinced that Cooper's lost his frontrunner momentum in Best Actor. Malek has a lot of support, and even if people feel icky about rewarding Bohemian Rhapsody because of Singer, they can at least recognize Malek (who had nothing to do with all of that). I'm getting the sinking feeling that Cooper will win Best Director over Cuaron, and that it's Spike Lee who is his biggest challenger.

As well as Malek picking up a lot of steam lately, so has Colman. She won 4/5 possible awards yesterday and she just won AACTA over two home town girls, in Collette and Kidman, and she's very likely to win the BAFTA and GG. SAG will be very, very interesting.

I think he wins this sunday and cooper takes director. Spike has honorary Oscar so I don't think they are pressed to give him another Oscar. However, not giving him the nod this time would be horrible so his nod is his reward.

With Alfonso winning Cinematography/Foreign Language, they may deign to split the love between the three.

At least barry already has Oscar so the award comes down to ryan, spike and possibly Nicole

Barry won that rather than director. Ryan adapted the screenplay so to say never.....ummm nope. It is more than possible especially if he picks up director nod.

Yeah but by that same logic, Lee, someone who is a lot more respected in the industry is more likely to win and it's not like the screenplay for BP has ever really been the focal point of the praise, it's the ensemble cast, the direction and the techs.
