Well 1,2,3 on that list are my 1.2.4 - which scares me since I like to be a different thinker What Ballad Of Buster Scruggs and Cold War (#3 and #5) are doing that far down I have no idea, but, um, well, they shouldn't be......

There has to be a missunderstanding, they placed the best film 40 spots below were it belongs.

Interesting bit - if you go by "AR" the average position on ranked lists, Transit jumps up the most, by over 40 spots to #3 of 2018. Haven't heard much about the movie but seems to be a bold concept and a companion piece of sorts to Petzold's last Phoenix.

And I was pretty surprised that A Star Is Born is still in top ten when it comes to listing movie as your number one for the year. That is pretty impressive. Same goes for Black Panther.

Sorry film crickets, but you lost me at #2...although arguably #2 is a perfect review of that film.

Surprised to see the House that Jack Built has it has a 40/100 metacritic score... Happy to see First Reformed, The Favourite, Burning and particularly Annihilation crack the top 10. Also glad to see Hereditary, First Man, Widows, Shoplifters, Fallout, Leave No Trace and You Were Never Really Here round out the top 20. Cold War feels surprisingly low. Also fucking delighted Bohemian Rhapsody couldn't crack the top 50
