... who also has a deep relationship with his daughter but has a tense relationship to his wife.
I plan to make it an ambigious portrait on the man and our society, which somewhat sympathizes with his critique of our society and his conspiratory theories (which are possibly condensed a bit down to the more reasonable ones) but that also shows him as a highly pathetic and absurd man who does not understand how to interact with his surroundings or where to direct his anger at society. It also deals with the double standards of german politics (we are economically extremely properous but at great costs I would argue) and also explores somewhat local problems concerning the enviroment in Germany and our demographic change (not so much the refugee crisis but more the eastern towns which seem completely void of life because everyone moves away).
Any Ideas? Particularly if you have any insights/ideas for plot points concerning a troubled marriage, alcoholism, father daughter relationships or conspiracy theories? I also want to end this with a snow scene, somewhat recalling the ending of Joyce's The Dead but I don't really know how excactly that should play out yet.
I can asure you this is not my homework but I also don't make it completely out of free will (sometimes I wonder if I make anything out of free will). I would appreciate any input or ideas, the more freewheeling the better.
I know this is an odd thread but shoot all your weird ideas at me!

Are you planning to do it as a satire or a straight-up drama/thriller? I'd advice you to make the daughter and wife roles three-dimensional, for God's sake, not just plot points to the main character.

It had to be 2 pages or less, so I dropped the threedimensionality of the daughter and the wife for now but if I ever should film it this would definitely be a big priority. I don't think it would have been either a satire or a straight-up drama, soemthing inbetween, a very exaggerated drama perhaps, that is aware of it's own silliness but still takes the drama seriously. I'm done now though but thanks for the response.

hmu if you want critiques along the way, would love to see your writing It's in german, so I'd have to translate it all and I'm lazy Also this was for an application and I'm very happy that I'm finally done. I considered making an avant-garde week this month (march) because I was honestly stressed out and extremely irritated by all of the stuff I had to do for the (seemingly highly conservative) application (I mean 1/5 tasks was something that I had real interest in but all 5 required creative input which I had to force out of myself), where I'd make and upload one avant-garde short each day. However I still have to consider if that's doable for me (I think I mentioned that I'm lazy) and also the specifics (e.g. make a plan about which shorts I want to make). In the end I'm unsure about if I can do that with the week because there is also lots of other stuff up now (watching Out 1 for instance) but I feel like I have to make more films that I really want to do myself now and generally I want to do as much important stuff now as possible, so hopefully this will translate into something. If I'll go through with my plan with the week, I'll definitely make an anouncement thread, however the shorts would probably be quite minimalistic and maybe underedited because I wouldn't have much time. Don't take this as a promise though, I haven't been too reliable in the past few months and I still have to think all of it through. In any case, best wishes and thanks for the interest.

His movies might me quite divisive, but you gotta love this man
