It's an all-timer for me (2015 was SUCH a great year in my eyes)... and the fact that its screenplay was snubbed is just almost as egregious as Bigelow's for Zero Dark Thirty.

I keep forgetting that happened, freaking ridiculous. Absolutely ridiculous. The scene in part 2 where Daniels and Fassy confront each other, alone, is better than the last few winners.

The good : some compelling scenes with fine acting + strong writing
The not so good : the pacing and some of the story elements felt drawn out and fake at times.

Good film, great Fassbender performance but that structure of the screenplay sort of freezes you out - it's a marvelous screenplay but almost on a conceptual level more than as a screenplay to a living, breathing film.

Really enjoyed it in 2015. Not sure how I'd feel about it now.

First two thirds are utterly fantastic. The last third is lame as hell. Performances are aces, probably Fassbender’s best work to date.

Quite easily Boyle's best film, a screenwriting hurricane and just a very fresh look at what a biopic can be. Love it.

Top 5 of its year. Just fantastic. Holds up marvelously well on rewatches too.

Very good movie, I like it a little better than Social Network even if it isn't as "important". I like the innovative approach to the biopic, pick three days out of his life and split the movie up into acts, rather than going cradle to grave or just focusing on one aspect of his life. Fassbender and Winslet are both very good and I like the subtle changes in visual style. It's my favorite of 2015 which was a good year.

The performances by the leads really makes this movie, I was riveted all the way through, a great watch.
