A tradition that has been going on since the 1960s. This list only considers the "Big 3" (LAFCA, NYFCC, NSFC). Movies in red won at least one Best Picture prize; movies in blue won Best Director but not Picture.

Random notes:
-Interesting how 60s-70s are 100% dominated by Western Europe while Asia grows in prominence post-80s. Spanish-speaking films rise also.
-The Bergman love is insane. 4 of his films win Best Picture. Truffaut and Buñuel are loved too but to a lesser extent (each win Director twice).
-France has the most Best Picture winners (7 films); followed by Sweden with 4; Italy, Taiwan and Mexico with 2; and Japan and Israel with 1 each.
-Germany and Russia almost entirely absent.
-Roma is the first to win LAFCA+NYFCC. Z and Day for Night remain the only ones to get NYFCC+NSFC, and Amour the only one to win NSFC+LAFCA.
