Hawke, I believe, is not - I think the Oscars will bring him back.
Collette is done and frankly I don't think she was ever really in.

I don't think Collette will get another Oscar nomination even.

Ethan - no. If he wins NSFC, he'll maintain the buzz and while I don't say he'll certainly get in, he's not done yet.
Toni - it's hard for me to say it, but it seems so. Don't think she'll surprise at BAFTAs or anything. She needed a critics sweep which didn't happen.

Hawke feels very much the passionate critics' choice that sneaks a spot that was more or less up for grabs. Washington's got a hold on it for now, and if he can ride the BlacKkKlansman wave with other guilds I think he'll be fine, but I wouldn't count out Hawke.
Collette needed SAG. She did well enough to get this far, but I think that barring a miracle, she's out. The SAG five looks right to me.

No, not at all. Especially not Hawke.

Collette is done. As for the best actor lineup, Gosling loosing steam has opened a 5th spot that is up for taking and Hawke's doing a pretty good job of tapping all the precursors (for a brief period I thought he could even win the Oscar) except for the crucial SAG and Globes while John David Washington is the opposite case. I still think The Academy will reward Hawke with a nomination but there's a chance Washington could sneak in.

Collette's chances are over, but Hawke, he can make it yet.

Collette, yes, because her film genre has been a big disadvantage for her, and she hasn't been campaigning. Hawke is still very much in the running. They like him, he's campaigning, and he's got the reviews.

The short answer is no. The long answer here is: I have been watching/following the Oscar/award season since 1997. I have seen Clint Eastwood getting a Best Actor nomination for Million Dollar Baby over Paul Giamatti for Sideways, when his only precursor was runner-up at the NY film critics awards and a SAG ensemble nomination. I have seen Tommy Lee Jones getting a Best Actor nomination for In the Valley of Elah, with only a Satellite nomination. Keira Knightley scored a Best Actress nomination without a BAFTA and a SAG nomination.
If Hawke or Collette, fails to score a BAFTA nomination, their odds of getting nominated are extremely slim. At this point, Bale, Cooper, Malek, and Mortensen are pretty much in. That leaves one spot open for either Dafoe, Foster, Gosling, Hawke, Hedges, Miranda, Polster, Redford, Reilly, or Washington.
For Actress, Blunt, Colman, Close, Gaga, and McCarthy are the favorites. Outside of that you have Aparicio, Collette, Davis, Fisher, Kidman, Pike, Theron, and Wu.
