BEST SCREENPLAY WINNER: Can You Ever Forgive Me?RUNNER-UP: The FavouriteIf these were our eventual Original/Adapted winners, I'd be very pleased. Well, the good news is it is a director/writer combo so she has a shot at the win.

Love the win for Shirkers. Not the best doc of the year, but it is great and deserves to share in the recognition.

Does the Academy dislike Ben Foster or what? He constantly gives good performances. I don't get it.

Haven’t seen Leave No Trace but if her work here is as good as her work in Winter’s Bone it would be deserved.

Does the Academy dislike Ben Foster or what? He constantly gives good performances. I don't get it. As the board's resident #1 Ben Foster supporter, yeah, it's frustrating. But then, his films rarely ever get notice, and the one time it did, he missed out to his co-star, who I did prefer (even if Bridges should've been lead).
