I think 'Shallow' is pretty easily the best of the bunch. Some other songs from "La La Land" could compete with it but I never really found 'City of Stars' to be the most impressive one from the film.

There are good covers, yeah, but I don’t think Smith’s the main issue. My issue is that the song is so limp. It builds to a pay-off that never comes, there’s no explosion at the end. It’s like Live and Let Die if it never left that solo piano bit. |
