What do you think? I'm 100% yes - America really fell in love with him - and I think the nomination is his if he wants it.

I don't know. I think he might rise as a potential VP candidate to someone like Kamala Harris or Cory Booker, but I feel like his (relative) youth is going to be seen as a trump card for the Democrats later on down the line.

This. I think he is a potential future candidate, but I doubt it will already be in 2020.

Sure go ahead and run Beta O’Rourke if you want to take another L. But he rides a skateboard and was in a band!

Wait, what?
No.. lol. Maybe a VP pick, but anything more than that, no.
Bernie is the best choice if Democrats want Trump out of office.

If the DNC was smart (they're not), they'd advise the old heads (namely Biden, Sanders, and Warren) to deny any 2020 presidential bid and instead throw their weight behind the younger faces of the party. The goal for the Democratic party should be to mobilize young voters and the best way to do that is with a fresh face that can communicate how this is not politics as usual. Considering Beto's ability to bring out the youth vote (record turnout in Texas and a 71-29 margin among that demo), his successful branding, and charismatic optimism, he is as good a choice as any.

I have to disagree with you about that one.

I don't know who could beat Trump at this point but I don't know if it could be Rourke. I'm still pulling for Warren myself.

I think a lot of people are underestimating Bernie. The biggest hurdle for him in 2016 was getting his name out there, which he’s clearly gotten over now. The youth loves him (more young people voted for him than Trump and Clinton combined). Bernie Mania became a saying for a reason. Go issue by issue, and his positions are what majority of people in America agree with (other than the death penalty). The main reason why Trump won was because of the rust belt and being against the trade deals, although as we’ve seen, he’s on pace to outsource more jobs than even Obama. Which is why he’s losing support in the rust belt. Bernie is actually against these trade deals, unlike Clinton. He’s also much less of a warhawk than other democrats (Trump sometimes campaigned being against the wars, which was obviously bullshit). Berne is also clearly not apart of the establishment (as seen when the DNC and Hillary fucked him over) which people love. He doesn’t present himself as a typical run of the mill politician, which is why people find him to be so honest.
Other than the DNC fucking him over again, I honestly don’t see how he loses. The corporate media is trying to make his age as an issue already, but I’ve seen a lot of people not buying it. Worst comes to worst, there’s a VP for a reason.

Yea I know Texas is pretty red but clearly the entire country doesn’t love him... Most don’t know him. As for being 2020 democratic nominee, I can’t say yes or no. I have to find out more about him.

If Joe Biden runs and makes Beto his VP then we got a race.

I'd say yes, or at very least there's something to work there. Beto may have not won, but he got really close in Texas, and also made the state extremely viable for democrats, especially in the future. His race in particular had a huge downballot effect.
The dude clearly inspires people. He should at least be considered a viable option. I think he'd a great candidate to run for president.

You guys think Trump could be reelected? Like, does he stand an actual chance? I'm asking as an outsider who hasn't followed U.S. politics very closely this year.

It will depend on Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin - states he won by less than 1% each. The midterm results suggest that he isn't very popular in those three states right now.

If the democratic nominee is another corporate democrat like Hillary, he’ll most likely win. The DNC will throw all of their weight behind a corporate democrat before they do with any populist leftist.
