"Guys, I have an idea. Let's have a panel about the racial and ethical implications of blackface, except get this-- we're not gonna invite a single black person to offer input, and then I'm gonna go on live television to say on camera that it's okay and totally not racist to dress up as black for the lols. I'm sure that'll go down really well in 2018, it'll be a very intelligent PR move that we'll certainly get out of completely unscathed, there will be no negative consequences at all, and it'll be a very productive, civilized debate that'll surely advance the conversation about racism in this country."
"Love it. When can we air it?"

first of all, she will be collecting unemployment in 3-2-1. It amazes me how people continue to do stupid things. Was she asleep during the whole Roseanne thing? Why in the world would she even want to go there?

It still surprises me that people in the public eye haven't the common sense to think before they speak. If you have an opinion that you even suspect might be hit with an instant late 2010s backlash, then just don't express it.
Stop, Drop and Roll needs to be replaced with Stop, Think and Perhaps Shut Up.
On a sidenote, this thread makes me want any possible 9th film in the franchise to be called Harry Potter and the Blackface Controversy.
