There were two extintion-by-asteroid disaster movies in 1998, Deep Impact and Armageddon. I've always thought of the former as MILES better than the ridiculous latter. What about you?

I don't really care for either of them, but Deep Impact didn't feel like it dragged in for an eternity, so it gets my vote. Also, it didn't have a dreadful 90s Affleck performance stinking it up.

Armageddon. It's dumb but I don't give a damn, it rules. Deep Impact has an incredible ending but it's a slog to get through.

Armageddon is a fantastic piece of cinematic entertainment. Deep Impact is kind of a slog.
