Won't answer the first bit but...
Loving was beautiful and I wish it was higher. Glad Embrace of the Serpent made such a good showing of itself but I think Finding Dory did too well and that was odd.
I wish Allied, Deepwater Horizon and HIGH-RISE!!

A good pairing of overratedness. Should have been so much lower, ugh.

Nice! I've got some problems with its script, but Green Room is such a breathless, visceral ride. Anton Yelchin went out on a high note.

Two very worthy films to open the Top 25, especially Green Room.

Green Room was a great ride, but a little bit light overall still glad it has fans.
Captain Fantastic was very very good, funny, insightful and the cast were really excellent. King Viggo!

Kubo and Sing Street too...four great ones in a row.

And that makes Captain America: Civil War the best superhero film of 2016. I dunno, Suicide Squad hasn't come up yet.

Craftsmanship behind Kubo is unbelievable but I don't really think there's much to write home about, story wise

Sing Street was just pure escapism, it's really the easiest film to watch!

I'll say it again! People like more the premise than the execution (which was very poor). There are some very inspired moments though and Viggo is quite good (unlike the rest of the cast)

Really wanted to love Nocturnal Animals which made it hard to digest when I just really liked it. The story inside the story was, to me, far and away the most interesting part. Which kind of lessens the impact as that's meant to drive the real life narrative. But still really tense, well crafted film.
