Playing in LA right now through end of September. I saw it last night and ummm...it is beyond good. It's a great musical. LA people see it now before it heads to Broadway next year. This thing is gonna win Tonys.

This is a stacked Broadway season for musicals if it makes it this season (which goes through April) - this and Moulin Rouge is going to be a major battle and there's a lot more coming too.

I forgot about moulin rogue. That show is flashy but I doubt the songs will be better. There are tons of showstopper performances. It's just so entertaining. |

This looks really great and you can tell they understand the artist, songs and their cultural place/value and importance rather than just regurgitating them for singing along to.

This is the final week of the show in LA before it goes to Toronto. If you live there, please make sure you check out this show. I was going to see it again but the popularity of the show caused a huge spike in ticket price.
