Figured Lynch and Kubrick would be on top!
Without the expanded BP field 2009-onwards we probably could've added Malick (Tree of Life), Haneke (Amour) and PTA (Phantom Thread) to the list. Maybe George Miller too, although I'm guessing Mad Max would've made it to BP anyway.

Still not sure what "lone director" means. Would Bennett Miller count for Foxcatcher? If so, he's getting ALL my votes.

Kubrick in 2001, Hitchcock for Psycho, and Greengrass for United 93 are the ones that really stood out to me so I voted for them.
