Christopher Walken and Stevie Wonder had fantastic appearances on Friday Night with Jonathan Ross. I cant find the full interviews, but I'll post these two highlights.
Also, since he interviews everyone together
the Damon / Murray / Bonneville / Faith episode of Graham Norton
and the Carell / Wiig / O' Dowd / Groban Graham Norton

Oh, and just about any time Charlie Rose had someone on worth having. Coens, PTA, Scorsese, Rafa Nadal, Lynch, DFW, those end of year ones he did with film critics. That was the greatest fucking show on TV, and it needs to be replaced as closely as possible. Though I don't suppose just anyone can just do what he did as well as he did it (the interviewing, not the other stuff).

It's easy to dismiss someone like Rose because of the sordid things he did, but the man is one of the great interviewers and collected perhaps the biggest catalogue of "great interviews" of anyone in the business today. |
