A tiger would kick a lion's ass with ease !
Tiger ain't the king of the jungle for no reason ! Lion ain't even the king of the savannah !

It will be a tough fight. I would say 50/50. Here i specifically mentioned their types. A Bengal Tiger is bigger than an African Lion. I guess the Bengal has an advantage.

Pavan I'd favor the tiger any day, because it is faster and stronger and is basically designed for fighting and killing alone. Lions may fight other lions to ward off a threat but that is not always a fight to the kill. Tigers always kill , once they are committed to the fight. They are way more ruthless than lions .

Lion
I'm taking outside influences into account, and the Lion has a pack to come to its aide. The Tiger, large as it is, is a lonesome fellow.

Single Tiger fighting seven Lions? I don't buy it. I do believe that the Tiger can kill a Lion but it's a close fight as far as I'm concerned.

1v1? I’d go with the tiger. They’re much heavier and way more powerful (stronger bite and stronger paw swipe). They also have higher muscle density. Remember that time where a tiger killed a lion at the Anarka Zoo with one paw swipe? I know it’s not the same since it isn’t in the wild, but it’s still worth noting. Obviously it also depends on how healthy each animal is, but yeah. The lion does have that mane around the neck though, and the tiger, who is a stealthy killing machine usually goes for the neck, which wouldn’t work this time around. So the lion does have that going for him. The lion is more of a ‘fighter’ than tigers too. I’d still go with the tiger.
I like these kind of questions. I wouldn’t mind if it became a type of ‘poll series’ honestly. I know the ‘Silverback gorilla vs Grizzly bear’ question is always asked.

I know the ‘Silverback gorilla vs Grizzly bear’ question is always asked. Honestly, a Grizzly Bear can takeout a Bengal Tiger. A gorilla won't stand a chance afaik.

It's the tiger. They're bigger and stronger.

Hell a whole gaggle (horde? pack? family?... I'm sticking with gaggle) of gorillas would have a hard ass time taking out a grizzly (or tiger) and even if they did succeed, they'd have suffered a shitload of casualties in the process.

Gorillas (just take a look at those fuking fangs !!!) can turn into real killing machines when they're angry or feel that they're in danger . I mean elephants , rhinos and hippos are herbivores too but they could also kill a lion if they feel threatened by it.

VS So even if we call it a tie on their teeth, the gorilla would have to bypass two sets of those 6 inch claws swiping furiously at them... then IF the gorilla gets close enough, a bear's hide is far thicker than the gorilla's and it's gonna take a damn hard bite to get through.

Yeah, the size difference of the bear and gorilla as well as the claws on the bear is what gives the bear the clear edge imo. Bears can decapitate us in one fucking swing. I think there’s been rumours of them being able to decapitate moose as well. They’re ruthless. Sure the gorilla might be stronger and way smarter (I think this quality is somewhat overrated in fights in regards the animal kingdom). The grizzly has much more going for it though.

Sure, he's the cock of the walk among us humans but get him in a race with a cheetah and he's getting burned 100% of the time with a significant margin of victory.

Tiger. It's bigger, heavier, has more power and despite this is faster.

Animal Planet did a show like this, pairing up different animals to see who would win based on science. It was pretty cool.
