I'm still disappointed that Emily Blunt is not attached.

Thank the lord...
Because those trailers were trash.

Link doesn't work but I'll take your word for it. Very excited!

as someone who didn't care for the first film I can't get excited about this one. Every single character in the first movie was uninteresting, shallow, and very very familiar. If there was one word I'd use to describe the first movie it'd be "unsurprising." Not expecting the sequel to change that paradigm all that much, so what I gather from these snippets is that fans of the first movie will probably like the sequel and I probably won't.

My most anticipated film of the summer. Glad its getting good reviews. ( I'm kinda getting Logan vibes from it too). Bring on Day of the Soldado!

I really liked the first one and thought it was a rock solid thriller. But as good as Del Toro was Blunt was the most interesting character and the trailers for this look like a dumb action movie. Maybe the trailers are misleading.

As much as I like Blunt in the first one I don't care that she's not in this. Storywise I think it's better this way, her story wrapped up and it wouldn't make much sense for her to be involved with Toro/Brolin's characters again.

Nice! Looking good, even with the lack of Blunt. Can't wait to see it.

I posited after seeing the first film that it would make sense for her to return in the final installment, but as an antagonistic force to Del Toro/Brolin. And that her letting Del Toro walk away is what will ultimately be her undoing (or that she corrects her mistake).

I'm still disappointed that Emily Blunt is not attached. Same. I don't get it. They said she may be back for the 3rd one though.

Because they got what they wanted out of her and don't need her anymore. That's what those guys do, use and discard. Plus, it's not like she's gonna be willing to work with those guys again. Makes more sense that she's out this time around than if she were in.

Blunt's character represents the idealism that has no place in the cynical, merciless world of cartel warfare. It is truly no country for old men.

Yeah it's a bit shocking. I thought it was getting rave reviews but the critics aren't buying it, apparently.
