I dunno how many of y’all keep up with current animated series but there are some current great ones worth talking about. Among my absolute favorites are Gravity Falls, Trollhunters (whose third and final season just dropped today), Regular Show, Bob’s Burgers, The Loud House, Star vs the Forces of Evil, Adventure Time, and Steven Universe, though I haven’t been caught up on the latter two. Last season of Archer was disappointing and I haven’t been bothered to catch up with the current season. Oh and yeah, I can’t forget Rick and Morty. Last season was hit-and-miss but the best episodes of the season were some damn good ones. SpongeBob is still a gem for me even if I haven’t been interested in the later seasons. DISCUSS.

BoJack Horseman reigns supreme.

Rick and Morty, Bob's Burgers and BoJack Horseman are the main three I watch and in that order of preference.

DAMN I totally forgot about Bojack. That one probably rivals Rick and Morty as far as the whole balance between laugh-out-loud comedy and gutwrenching drama thing goes.

Of those, I tried Adventure Time and quit in disgust after, oh, 40 seconds or so. I'm on the anime bandwagon (nothing recent, all recent shows have been utter crap), but I really ought to try some of the more modern American shows.

The first two or three seasons are standard kiddie cartoon stuff with some gonzo shit thrown in here and there, but it gets progressively better in terms of story, animation, and characterization.

I only watched South Park, but I stopped watching that like four years ago.

I only watched South Park, but I stopped watching that like four years ago. Damn , you 've been missing out on the PC principal . haha such a funny character . Also the Yelp episode had me in tears which wasn't too long ago. I will admit that Trey Parker has been (for the most part) phoning it in lately .

I only watched South Park, but I stopped watching that like four years ago. I quit South Park a long time ago as well. It’s too reliant on current events to the point where it feels less satirical and more like Parker and Stone actually grabbing you by the collar and shrieking “HEY REMEMBER THIS, IT HAPPENED RECENTLY SO IT IS STILL RELEVANT AND HUMOROUS, RIGHT?!”

Only very occasionally I'll catch a Family Guy or Bob's Burgers. Love 'em, though I haven't seen a lot of eps from either. American Dad is OK too but that one I've only seen a couple eps. I mean, that's about it for me lol. I have friends tell me I gotta watch Rick and Morty especially bc Dan Harmon runs the show and I really loved Community. Might get around to it - !
