E for Eddie Redmayne, who looks so much like Glenn Close at times, that I'm not entirely convinced that he isn't just Glenn Close pulling a real life Albert Nobbs on us all. If I'm right, and I think I am, then Close has an Oscar and by process of elimination Amy Adams is the new Deborah Kerr.

I'm sure both Adams + Williams will win someday. At the moment, I'd say Chastain will be the new Glenn Close.

Laura Linney. Amy Adams, Michelle Williams, and Emily Blunt will win soonner than later. She only has 3 oscar noms, she's too exhausted to get more these days Emily Blunt has zero nom and Chastain only has two.

Too early to say for all of them. All those actresses are still at the height of their powers, landing strong roles and regularly getting awards buzz, so it's pretty likely they'll get the right project in the right season at one point or another.
Adams' project selection is pretty much unparalleled and she could easily win Supporting this year, provided she doesn't get overshadowed by a showier alternative like, say, Regina King in Beale Street. Williams is a critical darling who's in the middle of a career resurgence. Chastain is very acclaimed, very driven and is now also making waves producing. Even Blunt is someone the Academy probably won't hesitate to throw a bone to, even if she's yet to actually be nominated.
If anyone has to be the new Close, it's probably someone with multiple nominations who isn't at the peak of their awards clout anymore, like Moore up until 2014. So maybe Bening? Weaver? Pfeiffer?

I don't really see Blunt ending up anything like the Close situation. I'm feeling a kinda Bale situation for her, in that her first nomination will be a long time coming and then she'll win it. I actually agree with Zeb31 and would say Bening could make a case for being 'the new Close', especially if she has another unsuccessful nomination.
