This is just really sad to me.
I mean if it were a different person who took these, then maybe I would be more willing to believe that they wanted to show the person in the picture what happens to them, maybe as a way to try to get the other person to realize that they need help.
Something along those lines, but knowing what I know now, I feel like she was using this as blackmail and/or to mock him in private.
I really shouldn't feel too sad for a guy who owns a freaking island and could still get away with coasting in his career even more, but all I can think of is that interview that he did a few years ago where it was clear that pretty much everyone around him won't actually help him because they don't want the money train to stop.
Also I just want to add that I hope I don't come off as a prude. I don't care if someone wants to do drugs, as long as they're not hurting other people, and that might be the case here, but it just bothers me that he's passed out and instead of at the very least not taking photos, Heard took photos, and I would guess wanted to use them against him in some way.

At this point, everyone is well aware that Depp is an alcoholic that does recreational drugs. So I don't find these pictures particularly shocking or disturbing. What I find more problematic is Heard (who indulged in the same vices as Depp) taking pictures of him in this vulnerable state, presumably to use as collateral against him at some point to humiliate him (like now). With a wife like this, who needs enemies? Heard is like a walking movie villain. The cliched femme fatale, evil gold digging manipulator out for blood and money. If this were a movie in the 90's, Sharon Stone would be playing Heard. She truly is a piece of work.

This is just really sad to me. pacinoyes hot take - Um.......I think I just come from a different era (oh shut up!) - when I see this I see those "fake Twitter vids" (NOT real vids) but ones that "tell you" the guy called another a bad name before the other guy started recording him........and later you find out that what's on the video is not that direct. This looks to me like Amber Heard's booze and dope or Iggy Pop's or Charlie Sheen's - how do I know it's his........he's sleeping on the floor of his house.......the MONSTER!....I mean I'm not coming down on her or him but when I see that photo and explanation he looks like a multi-multi-millionaire living the life that pacinoyes would be if he didn't have to work every day and as for her..........um, not convinced ........I mean I love Amber Heard (unless she shat in the bed, um) gorgeous creation ......but not convinced.

The worst part about Heard's actions is that they've unintentionally made a huge set-back for the metoo moment as a whole, and exposed some potential weaknesses too. Her actions are just fault out vile, and at worst it comes off like pure villainy.

This place, like usual, is being too easy on the man and too hard on the woman. They both need help and should have made better attempts to find resources for it.

People are being easier on Johnny now, maybe but that was not all the case. I've always known Amber was shady and I have no sympathy for her.

She's definitely manipulative and questionable in her motivations. But at the same time, it's clear, whether there was abuse or not on either end, that they were both living very unhealthy lifestyles. You don't have to be a prude to think that Depp's lifestyle is clearly not one that is healthy or conducive to a long life. They (as well as their friends) deserve blame for not working harder to find outlets for them.

Johnny Depp's romances have always been high profile going back to Winona days. I have never ever heard anyone say he was an abusive asshole. However, I can't say the same for Amber who was actually arrested for domestic abuse. So in other words: one plus one equals two here. It's that simple. I believe Amber pushed his buttons hard and tried to get him to fight her. She probably gets off on that.

This place, like usual, is being too easy on the man and too hard on the woman. They both need help and should have made better attempts to find resources for it. Heard is a domestic abuser. The tapes confirm as much. Her past history with her ex-girlfriend confirms as much. Nobody ever said Depp was an angel. He's a mess. But most people, especially with the evidence of the tapes are pretty convinced he's not a domestic abuser, and repeatedly went out of his way to avoid physical confrontations with Heard, who goaded him and initiated physical confrontations and effectively called him a pussy and a coward for wanting to avoid them. This case throws gender stereotypes upside down. It's not about going easy on the man and harder on the women. Depp is a victim of domestic abuse. Heard is his abuser. It's pretty much that simple. Depp being a substance abuser or a man does not make him any less of a victim. You are basically saying he "asked for this" (like his finger getting chopped off by Heard) because he is an addict. If anything, Heard is getting off easy, because she is a woman. Nobody would make these excuse from her, or victim blame her partner, if she was a man. Depp needs help. Heard needs to be in jail.

I still can't believe she has a career. She straight lied on those PSAs. The lesson learned here boys and girls??? Whatever your gender, if you marry someone who has never dated your gender and you got millions of dollars, they don't want you.... you are being played.... Johnny should shade Amber by playing Madonna's Take a Bow in court cause that's what she should do.

I don't see what drugs has to do with anything. Not every cokehead or alcoholic beats their life, that has nothing to do with Heard's discredited accusations. I mean, yeah, bad life choice Johnny, but this doesn't mean Heard suddenly has credibility when there is first hand evidence refuting her other claims.
