When he's being a straight-up comedian, I think he can be funny and somewhat incisive, though he may have one or two jokes that come off as needlessly mean-spirited or intellectually dishonest (like talking about how the Democratic party needs to reach out and win back lower-class white workers and then immediately joke about how those same people are going through an opioid epidemic). When he gets into a really serious discussion with someone he disagrees with, I find him really phony. He knows rhetoric well enough to know how to back his opponent into a corner and put himself on his high horse without coming by his discussion honestly, and he especially does this all the time whenever the topic shifts to religion.

I used to watch his show every week and it got to the point he annoyed me so much Imstopped watching for a couple years. I've actually watched his last 2-3 episodes though. He has not changed. He really makes me miss Jon Stewart. Stewart was so good at exposing ignorant opinions without being a complete ass about it.
