Originally titled 'True Crimes', Christoph Waltz was set to star with Polanski circling as director. But then it fell apart and came back together with Carrey in the lead and a Greek filmmaker Alexandros Avranas (has anybody seen Miss Violence), and it shot in Nov '15.
I dig the premise and it has an interesting cast. Trailer looks ok, kinda riffing on the Dragon Tattoo tone. Funny mix of cast/crew...directed by a Greek, written by a Belgian, starring a Canadian, set in Poland, produced by Americans, Australians, UK, etc. Lol
Saban Films has recently released some serious trash, but I'm hoping this is at least solid.

The sound editing for that trailer is terrible.

this has been on my radar since 2016. Glad to see its still alive (and with a slightly better title), but ugh that trailer Could go either way at this point. Could be a hard-hitting, distinctive procedural thriller or another Snowman.

oh, and it's a huge red flag that it's going straight to DirecTV and VOD with very little fanfare.

Wow, that trailer was bizarre. I still remember when this movie was supposed to come out two years ago. Damn, Carrey's attempts to get all "serious" again have really downhill this time.
