Cameron Diaz Confirms Her Retirement NBC
Earlier this month, Selma Blair revealed that Cameron Diaz has “retired from acting,” before she took to Twitter to clarify her comments.
It looks like her retirement comments were true after all! In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Diaz was all for more “The Sweetest Thing” reunions with Selma and Christina Applegate, saying, “I’m down. I’m literally doing nothing.”

When Applegate said she was “semi-retired,” Diaz commented, “I’m semi-retired, too, and I am actually retired, so I would love to see you ladies.”
Diaz hasn’t appeared in a movie since 2014.
A source recently told People magazine, “I can’t say whether or not she will go back to being a full-time actress, but for now she has other interests, causes she believes in, and time to pursue them. Cameron has made a wonderful life for herself. Marriage agrees with her.”
The 45-year-old has been married to Benji Madden since 2015. Another pal of Diaz shared, “Her years with Benji have been enlightening for her. She has become a new person with more self-confidence and grounding. Cameron needed something different in her life, more substance and a relationship where she felt loved.”

Really hoping this’ll be temporary. She’s obviously hit-or-miss with her film choices but she’s given some pretty great performances over the years. Has any other actor or actress gotten more Golden Globe nominations for films without getting nominated for an Oscar?

Has any other actor or actress gotten more Golden Globe nominations for films without getting nominated for an Oscar? Jim Carrey (six noms, two wins) comes to mind. Emily Blunt, Scarlett Johansson, Hugh Grant and Richard Gere also have four GG noms just like her.

Yeah he probably takes that “honor”.
