Kinda torn between Cuaron and del Toro, but I voted Cuaron.

Let's see.........INARRITU has directed one of the truly great performances this decade (Bardem in Biutiful) and a great left-field movie you couldn't have predicted (Birdman) AND a great revenge saga that to me evoked Werner Herzog (Revenant)........Cuaron directed Bullock in Space (let's face it, she should have died) and a ginger wizard thing............ Del Toro directed a sex with fish mashup, ripped off Spirit Of The Beehive for his best movie, and could possibly be planning one day to make a movie about a teddy bear that he loved when he was 6.
It's close (sarcasm) ..........I'mmina go with INARRITU

The showoff, the good director that hasn't wowed me with anything, or the guy that made Hellboy and Pan's Labyrinth?
Yeah, it's Guillermo for me.

Iñárritu is the definition of a hack and del Toro lost a thousand points after The Shape of Water.
Cuarón is the only one with a masterpiece under his belt (Y tu mamá también).

Definitely Iñárritu for me. I like one movie each for the other two (Children of Men for Cuaron and Crimson Peak was a nice gothic romance send up)

given that Iñárritu's only good film is Birdman, Cuaron it is.

I think Cuarón is the most sound filmmaker with a terrific penchant for telling a complete story, but Del Toro has made the best film (Pan's Labyrinth) and stylistically is more my speed.

del toro Inarritu Cuaron
All of these directors made my favorite films of their respected years, so it was hard to choose one over the others.

Yes, I did like it but I was going for a joke there so it wouldn't have fit - I don't love it the way that some do but I do like it and the introduction/opening scenes are really well done
