My choices are Patricia Clarkson and Kristin Scott Thomas. Who are yours?

Jake Gyllenhaal was the first that came to mind.

I would love for Patricia Clarkson to get another meaty, visible, Oscar-worthy role, cuz she still got it.

Tilda Swinton.
I'm surprised she has an Oscar. It seems like no one would know the difference if she did or not (though I mean that in the best way possible).

Definitely second this, though I don't think this will happen. I also second Kristin Scott Thomas.

My choices are Patricia Clarkson and Kristin Scott Thomas. Who are yours? Clarkson was my thought before opening the thread, so glad to see her being mentioned a lot.

She should have at least three nominations by now (A Beautiful Mind + Requiem for a Dream + House of Sand and Fog). Same thing for Uma Thurman (Pulp Fiction + the two Kill Bill movies) and Bill Murray (Lost in Translation + Groundhod Day + Broken Flowers).

I also have yet to see Rushmore, I read great things about his performance in that film.

Shohreh Aghdashloo.
She should be the middle eastern Jessica Lange with a career renaissance. Imagine her in AHS (though not as a Lange-replacement, mind you).
I'm guessing her name is too intimidating to begin to attempt to pronounce or spell (it's pretty easy to say once you say correctly once), and her voice might be considered too "extraoirdinary" to cast outside of minor/supporting roles. Doesn't help that she's 50+ (let alone almost 66).

Except I'm not much of a Groundhog fan. Adore Murray in Broken Flowers though. Connelly is all time great in Requiem.

He's dead so maybe it doesn't count, but Robert Shaw was snubbed so many times aside from his one nom for A Man For All Seasons.

Lesley Manville
If you go by my lineups, her first nomination should have been her 4th nomination and 3rd win.
