A number of really good ones to choose from but I still gotta go with The Social Network.

Hacksaw Ridge I guess. It's the only time I thought he was better than average. I actually thought he was pretty great in it. That's high praise from me anyway.

His earlier stuff was great (Boy A, The Social Network, Never Let Me Go), but the last few years he hasn't impressed me. I wanted to love Silence and Hacksaw Ridge, but he was distracting in both roles. Too "modern" for those movies. He's my win for The Social Network though, so I guess I'd say that's his best performance to date.

Yeah, Hacksaw Ridge. I really didn't care for him in The Social Network and most of the time he's pretty distracting, but with Doss, I thought he perfectly captured that old-school, aw-shucks persona that guys like Gary Cooper and Jimmy Stewart made their bread and butter back in the old days. I also think it's worth shouting out the Red Riding films.

The Social Network and Hacksaw Ridge. He was quite good in Silence but he was outacted by some of his co-stars.

Silence. That Silence/Hacksaw combo last year is great.

The Social Network is my top choice (keep in mind, I still haven't seen Hacksaw Ridge. Really need to get on that ASAP)
Overall, I dig him as an actor even if I thought he was a pretty lousy Spiderman/Peter Parker (not totally his fault though since the director & script sucked)
Looking forward to seeing him in Under the Silver Lake (from the director of It Follows)

Never Let Me Go. He's one of my favourite actors working today and I was lucky enough to see him on stage a couple of times, in London and New York, in Angels of America and Death of a Salesman. He has such a magnetic presence.
Haven't seen Hacksaw Ridge and Silence yet.

Silence.
Kind of random, but when I was reading Infinite Jest I pictured Hal Incandenza almost exactly like Garfield. He's always associated with that character in my mind.

His performance in Silence is masterful. That one, for sure.

Silence by far. The scene where he laughs at his reflection in the water is amazing.
