La Strada is great, the best of the pre dolce vita fellinis.

I really want to see The Hourglass Sanatorium (and Saragossa Manuscript) sometime but I just never get around to it. The Saddest Music in the World & La Strada are great, The Saddest Music is such a strange oddity and imo Maddin's best pure fiction film (it really feels like the 1930's but in a crazy parallel universe), I'm sure you'll like it, La Strada is just incredibly well told, I agree with fly that it's the best pre Dolce Vita Fellini easily. I've heard about Mind Game but not enough to comment, not heard about the other one.

The Hourglass Sanatorium is a masterpiece and a film definitely worth watching. I also liked La Strada quite a bit, but it's not among my favorite Fellini films.
