I genuinely don't get the Abbie Cornish hate. Her accent was a surprise, but I thought she had a good rapport with Harrelson. I wouldn't call her Oscar-worthy, but she wasn't exactly ruinous, either.
I'd probably vote for Peter Dinklage, to be honest. He was fine, but his character was the most woefully underdeveloped of the entire film (pun not intended). It felt like there were a few scenes cut from the finished product in regards to him.
I also thought that Amanda Warren's character was pretty one-note (and her accent came off a bit too hickish for my liking).

Hedges or the 19 year old girlfriend who were just non-existent. Dinklage is fine, but it's time for McDonaugh to retire that role altogether.

Hedges wasn't bad or anything, but he was definitely the weak link. This. I don't think anyone was weak and Hedges did nothing wrong with his performance... just Robbie is probably the weak link in the cast of characters and he "suffers" because of it. |

Hedges for sure. I loved him in Manchester, quite liked his role in Lady Bird, but whatever he was trying to do in this film failed disastrously. He was distracting every time he was on the screen. Really disliked his performance.

Hedges gets this, but I'm going to give a special shoutout for my no.2 for this and I'm gonna get thrashed. I did not like Woody in 3billboards (he's one of the most overrated around) he did nothing special to a pretty terrible character

And here I thought that scene on the swingset with McDormand was probably the best work I've seen from Woody. |

I mean there was one good moment, especially before Willoughby decided to "bite the dust", but otherwise I think she had only like 6 minutes of screentime or something (I didn't keep track). I wasn't much of a fan. |

Surprised Weaving is getting a lot of mentions. I thought she did as much as possible with such an underdeveloped, minor character. Very solid work.
I'd say Hedges, who really disappointed me after I liked him in Manchester and Lady Bird. I'm mixed on Cornish - she kept swinging from near-greatness to near-terribleness. I think those two are easily the weakest.
I never like Warren, but she was so irrelevant and non-existent here that she avoided being the weak link.
