Tyrannosaur (2011) -- To shamelessly steal from another review by someone else for something entirely different: "Imagine sticking your hand in a blender and no matter how hard you pull on your arm it doesn't seem to get out, and now imagine, your family, friends, peers, watching you suffer but nobody bothers to help you and you just have your hand swirling inside a fucking blender. That is what this movie is like." 9/10 at least
Repo Man (1984) -- It starts off well enough. The satire of consumerism was really over-the-top to the point that it wasn't funny because it was so damn obvious, but that would be okay if the movie didn't devolve into some mindless mash of random gags. There is no setup, no logic to any of the jokes, they just exist for the point of being weird. And that isn't funny. You've gotta put the work into the setup. 4/10
Dog Altogether (2007) -- Pretty much the first 15 minutes of Tyrannosaur. I could think of much worse ways to spend my time than watching the first 15 minutes of Tyrannosaur. Like living in the first 15 minutes of Tyrannosaur, that would be a much, much worse way to spend my time. 7/10
Return to Oz (1985) -- I kind of love that Walter Murch went to '80's Disney and said "I want to make a Wizard of Oz/Mad Max crossover set in an insane asylum" and '80's Disney said "How much money do you need?" 6/10
One Magic Christmas (1985) -- The biggest WTF movie I saw all year. This starts off really well, as a downbeat spiritual successor to It's a Wonderful Life for the age of commercialism. And then it goes apeshit. You have no idea how damn weird this movie gets, man. 6/10

It was a damn great week.
Dunkirk (2017, re-watch) - Still fucking amazing, my second favourite film of the year so far. 10/10 Good Time (2017) - Had one hell of a time watching this movie, it was dope as hell, the score is trippy and Pattinson is aces. This fucking Ray character ruined the movie for me though. 8/10 The Leopard (1963) - Just amazing, mesmerizing filmmmaking from Visconti. Such a sumptuous and beautiful film. Burt Lancaster is a fucking legend. 10/10
