I've seen similar things done by US Presidents and directors like Steven Soderbergh. Thought it might be interesting to look back on at year's end. Is this something you'd consider? If yes, how would you go about it? For instance, would you only include films, or would you also include television programs? Curious to get your thoughts!

I use letterboxd to keep track of all the films I watch. I don’t keep a log for tv but I don’t watch a lot of tv so I can just remember all the tv I watch without logging it.

I rate/list all the films I watch on IMDB and Letterboxd, so I already kinda do. I don't watch much TV, but if I did I'd do the same.
Letterboxd offers a film log where you can keep a dated register of everything you see. You can look into that if it's something that interests you.

As far as the topic at hand is concerned, I don't think I'd be able to do this. I'd hate to look back on the year and see I wasted something like 60 hours watching crap like Pawn Stars and that I watched Ocean's 11 for the thousandth time. Actually, I'm not ashamed of the second bit. First bit, for sure... second bit, not so much.

I've been doing it for all films and I note the date when I finish a season of a TV show. Maybe I'll go to individual episodes next year. I'll see.

I love the Letterboxd diary. Not helpful for TV logging though

I log all my movie viewings on letterboxd. and I don't seriously watch much tv anymore, just reality tv for background noise really.

I just do it for movies I see for the first time in the year. I write it in my journal. Movies and books are the only things I track.

Used to... now I can't see the date I logged the movie unless I export my ratings to an excel file
