I've actually seen a total of 0 so far. In spring my local arthouse type cinema (they're really small, not always the best selection, lots of stuff they don't show but I'm grateful we have this on top of the multiplex) showed a nice selection of 2016 releases (Elle being the best I saw) but afterwards... meh (I have btw at this point picked up on a lot of good 2016 releases, I'm actually surprised by how consistent they were for me). I might have missed one or two showings but I think the only film I even considered watching was Blade Runner at the multiplex and even then I wasn't super exited for that (and didn't end up doing it). So well, considering I usually only get to see new films with some kind of delay anyway, what should I mark?
Interesting stuff on my watchlist is: -Sleep has Her House (US) -Teströl és lélekröl (Hungary) -Song to Song (US) -Nelyubov (Russia) -The Square (Norway) -The Beguilded (US)
Tops are The Square, Song to Song & Sleep has her House
Otherwise the film year sort of went by me. They show The Killing of a Sacred Deer at the end of the year at the small theater. I haven't really looked into that and not The Lost City of Z either but I've missed all the respective directors have done so far (though I have Gray's Immigrant & Two Lovers recorded).
Note: I will probably not be around to answer on this thread over the weekend but I'll get around. Consider tagging me so I won't forget if you post.

I highly recommend The Killing of a Sacred Deer and Good Time. Dunkirk, Endless Poetry, and The Meyerowitz Stories are all great as well.

Dunkirk and Detroit are great films and well worth watching. I'd also highly recommend Bad Genius, which is the only film I've seen this year that way surpassed my expectations and The Last Note, which I consider the best Greek film of this century so far.

Only one I've seen that really caught my fancy is A Ghost Story.

Yeah, definitely watch The Square as soon as you can. I consider The Lost City of Z to be Gray's best work to date and is among my favourites of the years. Call Me By Your Name would be up there too, same for Okja and The Beguiled
I haven't seen a lot more movies that would be on the same level but there are quite a few that I keep thinking about for something in particular that caught my attention and found a lot of value in them, that would include mother!, BPM, Zama, A Ghost Story, Loveless, Get Out, A Quiet Passion, Wonderstruck, Detroit and Killing of a Sacred Deer.
