The discussion on each individual film, especially smaller, lesser known ones. It was one of the ways I'd decide if I wanted to see a particular film. I'd read the discussion about it, which was much more accessible than the reviews. Honestly the reviews on IMDb are pointless af. I almost never used them.

I miss going to imdb to read boards on the specific movies that I've just watched. Also I miss the boards community and how it's been split to different forums now.
I won't miss trolls and threads with spoilers in the titles.

My top 100, which I forgot to pull from my profile before the cutoff. Certain posters who will never find this forum i.e. shep, Lily19, Betsy, etc. Won't miss the trolls or pointless arguments. That drove me off the board the last couple years. I really hope the closing is a cue to certain people to go outside and do something else with their time. Profiles are still there for ratings and whatnot, so your top 100 is not lost! I'm pretty sure there are people here who are friends with Shep on facebook, so he's not lost either. Just married, and hasn't been imdb active in about 3 years anyway

As other people have said, the individual film/tv show/people message boards are the major loss. Going to those places to read what other people think and discuss what you've just seen was the best, and most essential thing about imdb.
