He's getting nominated at almost every regional critics award - picking up a few runner ups and wins. Even though it's a film about Hollywood and following your dreams, I'm worried he's going to get snubbed because it's a comedic performance.
With the Globe snub, I think Gyllenhaal is done but Hanks and Kaluuya are possibilities.
If Franco gets a SAG nod, is he in?

I'm sure he has a home security system and lives in a nice area...

I think Franco is comfortably fourth right now. Guy's on track to win the Comedy Globe (unless Kaluuya somehow gains a shitload of momentum), and unless a scandal somehow breaks out with his name on it, I'd say he's in.

Pretty safe behind DDL, Oldman and Chalamet, especially if he gets that SAG nom

I’ve been saying since the beginning of how he’s being underrated since a lot of people weren’t predicting him to be nominated, and after all of these awards the past while, I feel even more confident about his chances of getting in.

Oldman, Chalamet, Hanks, Dee Dee Elle, and Franco are my picks at this point. I think Kaluuya is 6th and Gyllenhaal, sadly, will probaly never be nominated again.

We will see tomorrow.
I think he is actually fighting the spot with Daniel Kaluuya.
Tomorrow we will know more.

We will see tomorrow. I think he is actually fighting the spot with Daniel Kaluuya. Tomorrow we will know more. Yes, I'm not exactly sure whose fourth, fifth, and sixth right now. I know Hanks has been snubbed for the past few years, but The Post seems much stronger than Captain Phillips was. It might not be, but right now it does. Plus, while they might not consider it a snub for him not getting in for Bridge of Spies or Sully, I think they do for Captain Phillips which could help. Then, there's Kaluuya and Franco. Kaluuya is in the stronger film than Franco, but Franco is more known, already been nominated, directed himself, and will likely win the Globe. Get Out has been doing well so far except with the slight bump in the road for the Globes, but with Chalamet likely getting in, I'm not sure how much membership has changed because Kaluuya is on the young side too, and he's also not very well known either. I'm not really sure some voters will get The Disaster Artist though. I don't think that they need to see The Room, but they might not exactly get what Franco is doing. So that could be a concern too. Right now I would say Hanks is fourth, Franco is in fifth, and Kaluuya is in sixth, but that there's very little separating them right now. I agree that I expect tomorrow will clear things up; although, it depends on if The Post was screened in time. If it misses or Streep is the only to get in, I'm guessing it wasn't widely seen in time. If it gets Streep plus Ensemble but no Hanks, Kaluuya is likely in instead of Hanks. If Hanks gets in this time, I don't see him missing, and it will be whoever was left out of the consensus 6 tomorrow that will probably miss at the Oscars too.

I see it as ddl and hanks fighting for last spot. It's been 15 years, I think since tom was nominated for oscar. I'm surprised by that especially since he's been in well received movies.

What about now that Franco also has a SAG nod (along with GG and BFCA), while Hanks missed out today?
