Well it was funny for sure but far from flawless, and some flaws are extremely obvious. The biggest mistake they made is making it too serious for its own good at the end and just stretched that final speech to a never-ending and generally I felt the film was too long. The chemistry was there and some performances were really fine. The best was of course Tiffany Haddish who has the most perfect comedic timing. Sometimes she overdid it a bit but never overacted it. There was obviously a lot of improvising and she had a had some fantastic and memorable expressions. And she had some trades that reminded me on a friend that made it even more appealing. The second best performance came from Jada Pinkett Smith who I never thought was so good at comedy. Queen Latifah was fine but gave a typical performance. Regina Hall was okay. Some bad editing and a weak direction but at least a funny screenplay with many original moments and a good soundtrack make this overlong haiku on friendship bearable.
Nominations for:
Best Actress in a Supporting Role: Tiffany Haddish
Rating: 6/10

Really enjoyed it. Would make a good companion with Bridesmaids, and despite tried cliches, is thoroughly watchable thanks to the cast.
And if Tiffany Haddish gets nominated for this, I would be totally cool with that.
