I remember first catching Annie Clark when "Later... with Jools Holland" was on, where she performed Birth in Reverse and it didn't take long before I become a fan.
What do you think about her? favorite album/songs?

A friend of mine says she's the best guitarist of all time and I laughed right in his face.

Her first record and her new one are pretty much tied for her best. Like all her records except for self titled which has a couple great sngs but isn't as consistent. She's probably the best rock act in the world now that Radiohead are legacy artists and Arcade Fire laid an egg with their last one.

Love her to pieces. Her last three albums are all fantastic, endlessly enjoyable stuff. I also really dig the visual aesthetics of the self-titled and Masseduction cycles. I've been meaning to look into her older material; the scattered tracks I've heard here and there have been amazing as well.

Eh, it was an okay movie but if you take away Bill Murray, it would probably be shit.

Her first couple albums are really different, sort of like weird lounge music. I like the first one a lot, though.

I liked it too ("Paris is Burning" remains one of her most enjoyable songs) but her later works kinda overshadow it for me. Strange Mercy on the opposite has started to grow on me months after I listened to it.
