Just watched it for the first time. I'm stuck between Clift and Lancaster.

Max and Monty are a cut above the rest, but it's an unimpeachable ensemble.

Schell. He gets some of the most powerful scenes to chew on and pulls it off brilliantly.

A fantastic ensemble to say the obvious - Going with Maximilian Schell, who absolutely owns every scene he appears in, he chews his big moments with aplomb(also one of the most handsome men ever to win the Best Actor Oscar!)
Judy Garland is also wonderful in her scenes

Monty Clift was probably the best one in this great bunch but I'd like to give a hearty shoutout to Burt Lancaster.

Clift stole the show, but Schell is very close behind. And Garland deserves special recognition.

Schell undoubtedly, followed by Clift and Tracy, followed by Dietrich and Widmark. I'm not in love with Garland here.

Montgomery Clift, my pick for being the best supporting actor performance of all time.

Montgomery Clift, my pick for being the best supporting actor performance of all time. Has to be the best "single scene" performance out there. Amazing.

Ohhh my bad. My mind automatically went to Seinfeld lol. No I really need to see more of his stuff. I love on the beach and guess whose coming to dinner, which i sadly find relateable. Yeah I've seen Guess Who's Coming to Dinner and The Defiant Ones. My mom is a huge Poitier fan and we watched a bunch of his films when I was growing up. What else would you recommend?
