Got to see an early screening tonight. Loads of fun. Definitely one of the funnier Marvel movies, even if, like quite a few Marvel movies, there’s parts where a joke doesn’t need to be in a scene...I’d explain that more but it might be a spoiler. Anyway, I love damn near all the new characters, especially Grandmaster and Valkyrie. Hela is...well, same thing every MCU villain seems to be, but like with Loki or even Vulture, I can overlook the whole cliche power-hungry villain thing because I love Blanchett and her performance. If I had one issue, it’s the appearance from Doctor Strange being like Falcon’s appearance in Ant-Man in that it’s there to hammer (no pun intended) the point home that these films are connected. Other than that, it’s a huge step up from the other Thor movies and it’s totally worth checking out.

Can't wait to see it, I mean Blanchett + Tessa Thompson + Taika Waititi, is a no brainer.

Goldblum stole the show for me. Hope he'll appear in more MCU films.

I liked it too. More of a buddy comedy than a superhero film. The first half of it is quite entertaining but the later is clumsy and could have been dealt better. I expected more from the flight of Valkyries, Hulk and the wolf, Thor and Hela scenes. Waititi's lack of experience in dealing action scenes can be clearly seen. He finds comedy even in serious situations but being a good comedy director he turned it into his advantage and gave us on one of the most funniest Marvel movies till date. I liked Tessa Thompson more than anyone. Hela is one more lame Marvel villain that even Cate Blanchett couldn't do much to save the character. Pleasantly surprised with Doctor Strange, Matt Damon cameos Another worthy edition to the MCU and arguably the best Thor film till date- 7/10

(i had to see this for class before someone asks) I tend to think there might be an overabundance of videos and gifs at times but this is quite litterally how I feel: You should aks your teachers if you could watch Dog Star Man to make up for that or at least Numeor Deux or something. Anything, really. Watch the 1916 doc on the Battle of the Somme for all I care or some L'Herbier, Epstein, Renoir, anything.

This movie is a lot of fun and so far the best of the Thor franchise. When the first one felt like a knight's tale, the second one like a middle age epos the third one now is the pure SciFi version in the tradition of Guardians of the Galaxy. Chris Hemsworth used a lot of self irony for his portrayal even more so than in the past installments which was refreshing. Cate Blanchett was a solid villain and obviously loved playing that role. it was far from challenging as it was rather one dimensional (with an interesting back story tho) but she was fierce and loved it and that totally translated to the audience. Tom Hiddelston was good and sneaky as always. He really is the perfect choice for the role of Loki and once again proves that. Mark Ruffalo was solid enough with some new characteristics of his character. Same goes to Idris Elba who created his role as a runaway outcast. Karl Urban was fun but the greatest new addition is Jeff Goldblum. Just awesome. I really hope we will see some more of his character in future. Tessa Thompson was also great and truly ass kicking. Really liked her performance and character. Loved to see Benedict Cumberbatch's Doctor Strange and it was a nice swan song for Anthony Hopkins. Taika Waiti was an inspired and probably brave choice for the director chair but it totally paid off. He created a wild, crazy and extremely colorful bag of fun that never loses its sense for self irony and is extremely playful with many superhero cliches. Great job. Great blockbuster. Great new entry for Marvel.
