He’s not wrong. Even as someone who enjoys blockbusters, it’s a relief when I can get a movie where the ticking clock is ditched altogether, and characters can just sit down and talk, so long as there’s that spark and - as he put it - a power dynamic to build character.

He's not wrong, but this is coming from the guy who's making the World War Z sequel.

Damn, that line is spot on. I'm glad that theaters still maintain the etiquette of people turning off their cellphones (although even that, i've seen we have slowly started shying away from with people glancing at their phones every now and then). But watching a movie w friends at home? I don't even try to suggest new movies/movies i've never seen before bc i know i'll go crazy.

fincher's a pretty ass director but the "old man yells at cloud" one drops my opinions of him personally even more

I agree with him here for the most part too.

I think he's absolutely right. David Fincher always says a lot of things I agree with.

Can't say I disagree, but smaller films are being made, they're just being disturbed differently.

Can't say I disagree, but smaller films are being made, they're just being disturbed differently. How are we disturbing smaller films, and how can we disturb them differently. Pretty sure you meant "distributed," but you get the idea.
