The awkward moment when two different worlds, statuses and societies clash at one little dinner party. The idea is not new but always interesting and this was kind of different because hardly before those worlds could have been more different. One side is the sensitive and very natural Beatriz whose aim in world is to heal and who stands for betterment on the other side you have that bunch of superficial, shallow rich guys who only care for their own wealth and their own egocentric being. Salma Hayek plays Beatriz and it is the role of her life. Such a brilliant, natural, honest and heartful performance. One of the best of this year and definitely the best of Hayek's career. John Lithgow who embodies the role of her total opposite is also good, every time he puts on that selfish and narcissistic grin he is at the top of his game. Chloe Sevigny was fine but did not have too much to do but she obviously enjoy playing that society lady. Corinne Britton was also great. You always wanted to slap her for her fakeness. The only thing I had with the movie was the ending. I think that was a bit off. Still a good film. It has its funny bits and a tremendous Salma Hayek.
