The men are decade worthy, Davis would be too, but her category has been pretty darn weak, still think she was solid. Stone literally played the same character she almost always plays, in the body of an actress. Damn girl shoulda at least stolen from her legit great performance if anything (Birdman ofc). Her movie has become tolerable tho, so I'm giving her a pass here.

I liked all 4 without loving any of them. It's kind of irritating  Can't be baffled or too upset by any of them winning, but there's nothing going the other way either. I'd probably say... Stone, Davis, Ali, Affleck? Though I could go the exact opposite way, and be equally happy. Affleck had my favourite scenes out of all of them, but also probably my least favourite, Stone was just too charming to me in a film that really needed it. |
