this has been on my radar for awhile now and definitely one of my most anticipated films of 2018.

Looks intriguing. I fucking adored Ex Machina, so I hope this in the same ballpark quality-wise.

"Why did my husband volunteer for a suicide mission?" Oh, the Natalie Portman hater in me really had a laugh over that line.
But seriously, looks promising but Garland's scripts always fail in the third act for me. He's got great ideas but always seems to falter in sticking the landing. Hoping that this breaks that streak.

That was interesting. I'm not exactly a big Portman fan, but I trust in Garland

While I disagree with your sentiment (but to be fair I've only seen one of his films), I imagine this time around there will be less of a chance of him messing up the third act as it is already based on pre-exisiting material.

Really looking forward to this. Stoked to see all those ladies together, especially Rodriguez and Leigh.

Really looking forward to this. Stoked to see all those ladies together, especially Rodriguez and Leigh. Oh definitely. The actresses in this film are talented as hell. I got a lot of love for Tessa Thompson after seeing Creed & War on Everyone.

The author of the book has some strong / encouraging words for the film . He seemed really impressed and maybe he could just be talking out of his ass but I doubt it. This looks sensational. “It’s actually more surreal than the novel,” he said. “There are a couple places where I was like, ‘I might need an anchor here.’ The ending is so mind-blowing and in some ways different from the book that it seems to be the kind of ending that, like ‘2001’ or something like that, people will be talking about around the watercooler for years. Visually, it’s amazing. I must say that and that’s all I probably should say.”www.indiewire.com/2017/05/annihilation-alex-garland-stanley-kubrick-ex-machina-1201833950/

Looks very interesting. From a source that shall not be named. I've been told that the "Arrival aspects" are misleading. He actually described it as a cross between Upstream Color and 2001. I'm down!

Couldn't finish War on Everyone, though...got too grating for me after a certain point.

I also got Arrival vibes from that trailer. This movie seems intriguing enough, as I have already liked Ex Machina.
