Cronenberg is one of the greats, but Lynch is the greatest there ever was.

I think both are great, but I find Cronenberg's work much more interesting.

Lynch, but Cronenberg ain't no slouch. He just tends to be less consistent.

Love the shit out of Cronenberg, but David Lynch is "David Lynch", which in my dictionary means: "The greatest of all-time"

Love them both so much, but I think Lynch is a bit more special. He started so strong, while Cronenberg's first couple really don't hold up. Also, and maybe it's just because he works so much more frequently, but North of the Border Dave has turned out his share of real bags of crap as the years have gone by, while South of the Border Dave has been much more lucky in that regard. At their best I don't think there's THAT much between them.
Both tremendously unforgettable in front of the camera too.

Oh honey, Maps to the Stars! I've watched that movie at least a dozen times. It's hilarious...
Cronenberg has a better sense of humor.

Croneneberg's films are much more interesting and entertaining to me than Lynch's, and his humor is more accessible. Lynch's films, apart from Mulholland Drive, honestly bore me. And while MD is great and one of my favorite films, no other Lynch I've seen compares to Naked Lunch, A History of Violence, or The Fly so it's very easily Cronenberg for me.

Without a doubt, Lynch. I don't have anything against Cronenberg, but I connect more with Lynch's work.

I like Cronenberg for the most part (not so much his recent stuff), but he's never made anything as great as Mulholland Drive, so Lynch.

Love both but Lynch has a far stronger filmography.

Lynch. I don't usually understand either one of them, but I like to be confused by Lynch more than any other director.
