I usually avoid all horror movies throughout the year so I can just binge watch as many as I can when I get to October. I have a pretty lengthy list of stuff on IMDB, but going through, these are the essential ones I hope to get around to this year:
Suspiria (seeing this for the first time on the big screen Friday). Frankenstein (1931). Bride of Frankenstein. Vampyr. The Wolf Man. Cat People. The Mummy (1932). Dawn of the Dead (1978). Ringu. The Ring (a re-watch).
It's pretty 1930-1940s heavy because that's what I've been watching lately and I had to skip over them in order to save them for this marathon, but I really wanted to see them. Though, really, aside from Frankenstein, Cat People, and Ringu, none of these are set in stone. I just kind of wing depending on how I'm feeling.

Let the Right One In The Invisible Man Maniac (the original) Deep Red Cannibal Holocaust Insidious Dracula (1930s one) The Texas Chainsaw Massacre 2 Freaks Eyes Without a Face A Girl Walks Home Alone at Night Vampyr The House by the Cemetery The Others Martyrs Braindead Night of the Living Dead Alice Sweet Alice The Babadook The Beyond Goodnight Mommy Audition High Tension My Bloody Valentine (original) Hellraiser Dawn of the Dead (original) Eden Lake Frankenstein (1930s) A Tale of Two Sisters The Omen
There's no possible way I'll get to all of em in October alone. I'll prolly continue into November.

Probably the most beautiful-looking horror film ever made.

It's really fantastic.

Might wait until the Bluray is released in Nov, which means maybe I should take it off my October watchlist haha.

Honestly, I'm such a pussy when it comes to straight horror movies. Only once I went to one of those movie horrror nights marathons with friends, I couldn't halndle it. So many classics of the genre are a blind spot for me and just in the last couple of years I started improving in that department.
I hope this season I get to see finally Wicker Man, Chainsaw Massacre and anything from Romero. Any other suggestions are welcome, please share. I like better the ones that involve a lot of deadpan humor, like Sweet Movie or even something like Trick 'r Treat.
