List does not include Twin Peaks The Return and is thus invalid and foolish.

It from what I've seen. Haven't seen Mother! yet, which could be a strong contender.

I said MOVIES not TV SHOWS . Lynch has said repeatedly that he considers it a movie. DON'T MAKE ME START THIS OLD WAR Simply because he says that doesn't make it so. What matters is not what the director projects in interviews. What matters is what the actual work of art says on its own.

I want to say Split because it manages to be scary without *any* jump scares (almost as if horror could do with less of them. What a novel idea), but it's got to be It. Just a great overall package.

What matters is what the actual work of art says on its own. Uh, how does The Return announce itself as a tv show? I just marathoned the whole thing and it feels very much like a film. It was also shot and conceived of as a film and was later edited into chunks that would fit as episodes. Anyway, I was being sarcastic because the debate is boring and stupid. Why are you crybabies being so uptight?

Why are you crybabies being so uptight? I didn't mean to, so I'm sorry if I came off that way. I haven't seen Twin Peaks, so I don't really know how it announces itself. However, what I was getting at was even though Lynch's original plans may have been as a movie, it was still condensed to separate episodic chunks. Not to say that those chunks can't tell a cinematic level story, but it kind of opens this weird can of worms, like could miniseries like Band of Brothers be considered a movie. I guess it depends on perspective and context, but I still lean to it feeling more miniseries than movie, but again that's sight unseen.

Alien: Covenant was trash, Get Out was disappointing, and Raw (not in this list for some reason) was disappointing too. Haven't seen any other horror movies yet.
