Queen Carrie. She gives McConaughey in True Detective a run for his money for best television performance of all-time.* Eccleston and Theroux aren't far behind.
*Actually, Kyle MacLachlan in Twin Peaks: The Return is probably now the best television performance of all-time, but that's also sorta irrelevant to this thread.

Carrie Coon without the shadow of a doubt. For me it's between her and Elisabeth Moss in Mad Men in the fight for best TV performance of all-time. Everyone else was great, but she was the clear MVP for me.

I already voted over a year ago but feel the need to comment. It's one of the strongest TV ensembles ever but Carrie Coon delivers an all-timer of a performance that's above and beyond anyone else in the history of television.
My ranking...
1. Carrie Coon 2. Justin Theroux 3. Amy Brenneman 4. Ann Dowd 5. Scott Glenn 6. Lindsay Duncan 7. Christopher Eccleston 8. Regina King

I'll say Theroux. He portrays Kevin with such a touching authenticity that he left me in tears in so many episodes.
And he's also fucking gorgeous.

Carrie Coon gives the finest television performance I’ve ever seen, but I want to give special mention to Amy Brenneman’s work. She fleshes out Laurie so beautifully over the course of the show and “Certified” is stunning.

Just finished show last night and can't get over the lack of Emmy love for actors.

Coon - she's integral - but it's no coincidence that the three Eccleston-centric episodes are the most memorable of each season. Given the chance, he carries this. The poll results are a fairly accurate representation of the quality we see on the show.
