Mulan (June 1998) First film I ever saw in a theatre at the age of 3, I remember being quite excited, snd thought that Mulan would come off the screen and greet everyone.
Muppeta from Space (July 1999) Some parent in the theatre got outraged over an "inappropriate" trailer for Runaway Bride
Pokemon 3 (April 2001) Got scared, left the theatre before the end. Only time that has happened.
The Princess Diaries (August/September 2001) Saw it four times. Had big crush on Anne Hathaway.
Return to Never Land (February 2002) Embarassing now, since its just a glorified made-for-video sequel but saw it 5 times.
Stuart Little 2 (July 2002) Saw it 4 times.
Monsters Inc (August 2002) Special screening, months after it had played out, at a real old-fashioned movie theatre complete with organ. Lovely.
Finding Nemo (May 2003) I have never been in such a crowded theatre. Packed to the gills.
Brother Bear (November 2003) First film I saw on opening day.
The Polar Express (November 2004) The hometown movie theater reopened after two years time. It had been closed due to tornado damage. It was so exciting to have it back.
Eight Below (February 2006) A Disney film, it contained a jump scare scene that caused the whole theatre to go fucking nuts. Almost everybody screamed, including my usually unflappable father!
Miss Potter (April/May 2007) Only film I saw at an art-house theatre. Its still there, I long to go back.
Nancy Drew (June 2007) Second film seen on opening day and a rare weekday road trip.
Ratatouille (July/August 2007) Saw the film in theatres in three different states.
No Reservations (August 2007)People behind us were talking plot points before they even happed on screen.
August Rush (December 2007) Only memorable as being the first major disappointment I saw the whole of in the theatre.
The Bucket List (February 2008) My first PG-13 in a theatre, as opposed to home.
WALL-E (July 2008) I was indifferent. My mother fell asleep and hated it. Most kids seemed not to like it in the auditorium.
Julie and Julia (August/September 2009) Saw it 4 times all together, split evenly between two states.
The Blind Side (November 2009) Memorable as being the film that stayed in the local theatre for almost four months.
Toy Story 3 (July 2010) Lots of crying kids.
Tangled (December 2010) Truly enchanting on the big screen.
Cars 2 (July 2011) Crashing bore. My spirits were sinking as I watched it.
Beauty and the Beast (February 2012) A rerelease in 3D of my favorite Disney film, it was absolutely enchanting.
The Artist (April 2012) The theatre was completely empty except for me and my parents, and it was like a private screening. The film unreeled in its black-and-white glory and cast a spell. Also memorable as being one of the last films I saw projected on film.
Brave (July 2012) Last film I saw projected on film.
Les Miserables (January 2013) Broke down during Anne Hathaway's big scene. Big gobs of tears ran down my face and I was having trouble breathing.
Monsters University (July 2013) Film inspired me to try anew to make amends at that notorious website I was once on. Should have just left.
The Wizard of Oz (September 2013) Another 3D release, this time in IMAX. The 1939 film was truly alive and glorious that day. Perhaps my best ever screening.
Frozen (November 2013) Quite enamored on first view, declaring it Disney's best animated film in some time, but time has worn away that verdict.
Into the Woods (January 2015) First film seen in a theatre after firmly joining MA in November 2014.
Inside Out (July 2015) Pure movie magic. Everyone was obviously in love with it that day.
The Intern (October 2015) A couple brought several young children (10-13) with them. It was a pleasure hearing them love it.
Brooklyn (December 2015) First time I had seen one of my current #1s in its year or release. Luminous.
Zootopia (March 2016) Again in 3D and utterly breathtaking.
Florence Foster Jenkins (September 2016) Went to different theatre, sat in the most comfortable theatre seats I ever sat in watching a charming film. Felt almost like home.
La La Land (February 2017) Love at first sight. I left feeling as though I was walking home on a cloud.

Episode I, opening night. The costumes, the lightsaber battles, the excitement!!!
Also, the theater was running a little behind on the showing so at like 12:05ish this guy in the front stands up and turns around and the theater just went quiet. Then he waved his hand and motioned towards the projector, "you will play the movie now" like a boss jedi.
Wasn't for another 10 minutes that it would start, but it was funny as hell and has always stuck with me through the years.

I was watching The Departed, the movie ended and then...a couple of rows behind me two men begin to punch each other and get into a brawl. Like, immediately after the movie ended. Like they were just waiting for it.
Premiere screening of Caché in Latin America, at Rio's Film Festival. You know that the movie begins with the image of a video being rewind, right? So, anyway, between this getting people by surprise and the fact that due to an error there were no subtitles, an uproar begun in the audience, seemingly thinking "WTF is going on here?"...and then a genius screams "IT'S A DVD!".
