Quite the amazing trailer honestly. It does look really good, but I'm still very hesitant since the trailers for Unbroken and By the Sea were very well made too. I think in the end though that the critical reception will be mixed at best because she had a lot of resources and talent for those two films. Even though I'm giving Jolie the side eye right now and not optimistic about this film based on her other directorial efforts, I do think this is a subject that needs more films made about it especially ones that have females as the lead characters, but I get the same vibe from this as I did Unbroken. It seems all the pieces should be there for a well received film (great film crew assembled behind the scenes, decent cast), one that potentially would be nominated for Best Picture maybe even win, in a more capable director's hands, but for whatever reason it's just not coming together for her. I guess it eventually could, but it just feels like déjà vu all over again. "We should give her the benefit of the doubt for Unbroken because In the Land of Blood and Honey was her first film. Plus, she's assembled a great cast and crew and Universal must have faith in her because Unbroken's their big Oscar push this year". Then it was, "well By the Sea is much smaller scale, and she's got a great cast assembled. This seems like a better fit for her to do as a director. The trailer looks amazing, so maybe she finally hit it out of the ballpark."

It looks good. Maybe Netflix can really make the proper Oscar push this year. It looks like Jolie is getting stronger as a director.

Guys, it's going nowhere at the Oscars. Even if it's really good, it'll get a Birth of a Nation backlash based on Jolie's casting controversy.
