I'd love to struggle to furnish a 25 million dollar house.

I'm more bothered by this.
You know I never bought the Saint act, but I did think that she was acting unselfishly for the most part for her humanitarian work and bringing more awareness to the issue of genetic testing for cancers like breast and ovarian. However, now I think maybe a lot of the anti-Jolie people were right in how manipulative she might really be.
I would expect this kind of despicable behavior from someone like Michael Bay who seems like he's missing a sensitivity chip not Angelina Jolie who would be one of the last directors in Hollywood that I would expect would treat children this way especially children who have already suffered so much in their lives.
I admit maybe I overreacted when news first broke about their separation. I know many at the old boards didn't think that screaming qualified as abuse. Maybe what Pitt did wouldn't qualify, but from personal experience, I do think verbal abuse is abuse. To this day, my father rants and raves if things don't go his way, and while I handle it better now and realize he's basically just an overgrown kid throwing a tantrum, I still get rattled even when someone is giving me constructive criticism because of him yelling all the time.
Anyhow now maybe I was fooled by Pitt's interview in GQ, but he seems very sincere. I do think he did have problems; although, I don't think that he was the only one at fault for the end of his marriage. I like that he admits that he had problems though, and he wants to work on himself. With this Jolie interview though, even without the above quote, the whole article just reeks of why people hated her Saint Jolie image. I never fell for it, but again I respected her charity efforts and awareness she brought to women's health issues, or at least I thought I did until today. That one story though just leaves an incredibly bad taste in my mouth, and while I wasn't expecting much from this film because I don't think she's a good director at all, I really hope that this story bombs. It just makes me sad though that she's had three great opportunities given to her and probably waste them all. Then, she'll be onto her next flight of fancy and think about how edgy and awesome she is compared to everyone else.
ETA: I can't believe I forgot about clearwatergirl until now. I sort of wish I could read cwg's thoughts on all of this.
ETAA: I totally forgot about By the Sea, so I guess that's actually four great opportunities that she's been given now which will all probably be for naught. I'm all for more actresses directing, but I just wish people would stop giving Jolie money to direct or at least stop giving her so much attention when she does.

She should just host interviews for decorators like she does auditions.
No, no, I kid. Decorators are people too. Not like those pesky orphans...

Oh honey, hopefully People will publish my design for Jolie's new home... Did I also mention that she is not the only Movie Star who does charity? This is a public appeal for my very own charity, Walk in my Shoes: Many of you may be unaware but in Sub Sahara (I think that's Deep South, near Savannah) women have to walk for hundreds of miles and kilometers every day for water... often barefoot and in harsh conditions - which can cause split ends or frizz. Please help me bring style, grace and dignity into the lives of these unfortunate women by equipping them with Manolo Blahniks, Louboutins, and Jimmy Choos. Please give generously by urgently donating (size US 6, Eur 37, UK 4) or just give cash so I can pick the styles I like. I sincerely thank you from the bottom of my heart, but above the waist.
